Alpha Gal Allergy
Life-threatening red meat allergy caused by tick bites. SAAT treatment offers real hope for recovery.
What is Alpha Gal Allergy?
Alpha Gal Syndrome is a serious, potentially life-threatening allergy to red meat and mammalian products caused by the bite of the Lone Star tick. Once bitten, your immune system develops antibodies to a sugar molecule called alpha-gal, found in beef, pork, lamb, and dairy.
Reactions can range from hives and digestive issues to severe anaphylaxis. The allergy often appears 3-6 hours after eating red meat, making it difficult to identify without proper testing.
SAAT Treatment for Alpha Gal
Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) is a specialized acupuncture technique designed to treat severe allergies, including Alpha Gal Syndrome. By placing a semi-permanent needle in a specific point on the ear for 3-4 weeks, SAAT helps reprogram your immune system’s response to the allergen.
This treatment has shown significant success in reducing or eliminating Alpha Gal reactions, allowing many patients to safely reintroduce red meat into their diet.
